Five Forks, South Carolina was mostly a rural area until the 21st century. In the early 90s, Five Forks was nothing more than a very rural area with just a crossroad at its centerĀ³. However, within the last two decades, the population has doubled in size. It has grown from 8,064 in 2000 to 14,140 in 2010, and to 17,737 at the 2020 census.
